Happy Toes

What do you see in this picture (besides how pasty my feet are)? I see happy toes, so utterly glad to be out in the fresh air and sunshine! It was so beautiful here today I eventually had to come out of these jeans. You don't want to see a picture of that. There are not many things uglier than bare skin the first time it's seen daylight after a long cold winter. That look is even worse when you add in a lack of routine shaving. Since I brought that up I have to ask all the ladies, who keeps their legs shaved in the winter? As for you men, if you keep yours shaved I don't want to know about it. Now, getting back to the original topic, here's to more happy toe days to come.

  3. I am so jealous! My toes have been itching for the sun and soil, but had I done this today, they would have shrank back up through to my knees! It was a blustery 28 degrees all day with hail taboot!
    Shave? what's that? ..wink..

  4. I laughed out loud -- you're right, bare flesh the first time it sees daylight after winter is not a pretty sight!! And shaving in winter? When I was a much younger lass I'm sure I kept that up on a regular basis...now it's hit and miss in the winter!! :)

  5. There is no way we can sink our frosty toes into the frozen soil. sigh.....

The answer to your question is it is a Bromeliad. Try googling them if you have not seen them before, they are amazing.

  6. Oh to feel a breeze between my toes-not for a while I'm afraid- and as for the regular upkeep question-I wish I did remember to do it more often (I'm kind of low-maintenance).

  8. I'm envious. We got snow today. Snow! In March. 2 weeks before the First Day of Spring.

I'm not a very good leg shaver, unless I'm in a relationship. Then, I do it out of deference to my partner.
